Area of Operations : Baltimore Canyon Trough, Wilmington Canyon, Middle Atlantic Bight, Georges Bank, United States, North America, North Atlantic Dates: October 26, 1976 to October 31, 1976 Chief scientist: Brad Butman Objectives: Deploy 2 tripods to monitor sediment transport, one on southern flank of Georges Bank(#116) and one in the Baltimore Canyon Trough area (#117) on the continental shelf. Also obtain cross-shelf temperature measurements to position the shelf-slope water boundary near the tripods and assist current meter data interpretation. Type of Activity: Mooring work
