Summary for Field Activity Number 2004-054-FA

Alternate Leg ID: HB-0604B

Area of Operations: Boston Harbor, Massachusetts, United States, North America, North Atlantic

Dates: June 23, 2004 to June 23, 2004

Objectives: Recover two benthic chambers in Hingham Bay and collect several diver-collected push cores. The benthic chambers were previously deployed by WHOI scientists W. Martin and J. Goudreau on 6/16/04 from the RAFAEL (HB-0604).

Type of Activity: Sampling

Information to be derived: Samples and Chemical Analysis

Summary: Recovered 2 benthic chambers in Hingham Bay (Station 8) and collected 3 diver-collected push cores. The benthic chambers were previously deployed by WHOI scientists W. Martin and J. Goudreau on 6/16/04 from the Rafael (HB-0604). Core 8-3 had pre-installed fins for erosion chamber experiment. Cores 8-1 and 8-2 were shorter. All cores were retained by WHOI.
