Objectives: Objective is to auger 4 wells near the shore line at the north end of Oyster Pond. At a future date, water from these wells will be sampled and analyzed for total mercury, methyl mercury, nutrients and other constituents. Flow rates and direction will be measured using an in situ flow meter.

Summary: This field operation was designed to auger 4 shallow wells for future sampling of ground water entering Oyster Pond. Chemical analysis of ground water will be performed on future samples. 4 wells were augered around the north basin of Oyster Pond.
